Temperatures in Uzbekistan to reach 42°C by Sunday

Tashkent is forecast to reach 37°C on 25 July and 38°C on 26 July.

Temperatures are forecast to reach 36–39°C across most of Uzbekistan on Sunday, 26 July, and 40–42°C in northern, southern and desert areas, UzHydromet reported.

Mostly clear and dry weather is expected nationwide on 25 and 26 July. Brief rain and thunderstorms are possible only in some mountainous areas.

Winds may strengthen to 13–18 metres per second in northern and desert areas, with patches of blowing dust also possible.

Tashkent is forecast to see temperatures of 21–23°C overnight and 35–37°C during the day on 25 July. Easterly winds will reach 3–8 metres per second.

On Sunday, temperatures in the capital are expected to range from 22–24°C overnight to 36–38°C during the day, with no rain forecast.
