Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong has been diagnosed with a tear of the medial collateral ligament in his right knee, the club said.
The player will continue conservative treatment under the supervision of Barcelona’s medical staff. The official bulletin does not mention surgery.
Doctors will monitor De Jong’s recovery over the coming weeks. The club did not give a date for his return to training or matches.
